If you’re a fan of the Civil Wars like we are here at MCI then you’ve been waiting patiently or impatiently for the debut of their new video for the single “Barton Hollow”. Well let the rejoicing begin because the wait is over! The official music video for “Barton Hollow” debuted yesterday & as of early this morning has already had over 5,000 views. Director Becky Fluke, who has done some great videos for Trent Dabbs, Matthew Perryman Jones, & who also directed the Civil War’s “Poison & Wine” video, manages to not only capture the chemistry of the Civil War’s live performance, but she also manages to tell the story behind the song while leaving the viewer’s imagination to fill in the gaps. “Barton Hollow” is a wonderfully written song. If this is a preview of what we can expect from the Civil War’s first full length album then we are definitely in store for something amazing come February 1st!
